Introduction:

Mukta Foundation is evolving into a leading public research institution in Nepal, specializing in the production of rigorous knowledge on social, cultural, environmental, and political dimensions of the Himalayas. Its work encompasses contemporary concepts such as Himalayan culture, Spiritualities, Tourism, Feminism, Human security, Environmentalism,  Nation-building, and Peace. The Foundation fosters academic debates, organizes conferences, seminars, and workshops, and collaborates with institutions across Nepal, South Asia, and beyond to promote inclusive and sustainable development.

Mission: To produce scientific knowledge and discourses that influence policy, enhance economic, social, and psychological prosperity, and foster a harmonious global humanity.
 

Objectives:

  • Conduct in-depth research on the social, cultural, political, and environmental dimensions of Nepal and the South Asian Himalayas.
  • Organize international conferences, lectures, seminars, and workshops to explore contemporary perspectives on Vedic philosophies, Himalayan ecology, cultural landscapes, and related themes.
  • Generate and disseminate systematic knowledge across various aspects of humanity—social, cultural, economic, political, environmental, and psychological.
  • Collaborate with academic institutions, government bodies, and organizations in Nepal, South Asia, and internationally to promote feminist principles, human security, environmental protection, and intellectual governance.
  • Facilitate policy dialogues with authorities to contribute to transformative, peaceful, and equitable societal development.
  • Publish scholarly journals, books, and outcomes from initiatives like Rigvedic Himalaya to expand global understanding of living Vedic nature-cultures in the Himalayas.
